St. Louis CITY SC fell 2-1 against Portland Timbers at CITYPARK on Saturday night. After a scoreless first half, Portland Timbers took the lead through Evander who converted a penalty kick in the 63rd minute. CĆ©lio Pompeu equalized in the 79th minute for CITY SC, but Portland found the winner three minutes later through Yimmi CharĆ”.

Following a three-assists performance in the U.S. Open Cup against Union Omaha, CĆ©lio Pompeu followed up with a bang, scoring his first MLS goal tonight against Portland Timbers. The midfielder subbed on in the 67th minute and immediately prove to be a threat for the opposition.
