Match Report | St. Louis CITY SC Makes Club History Extending Unbeaten Streak to Ten Matches After Earning 3-1 Win Against San Jose Earthquakes

St. Louis CITY SC extended their unbeaten streak across all competitions to 10 matches with a 3-1 win over San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday night, marking the club’s longest unbeaten streak. Daniel Edelman opened the scoring quickly in the eighth minute, earning his second goal of the season. In the 27th minute, Simon Becher scored his first of two goals on the night off a corner kick from Eduard Löwen. St. Louis held the 2-0 lead heading into halftime. Becher found the back of the net again in the 55th minute, earning his third career MLS brace and giving CITY SC a three-goal advantage. With tonight’s win, St. Louis improved their record against San Jose to 7-1-0 and is now 4-0-0 at PayPal Park since 2023. Four different players recorded assists tonight, including Löwen, Sangbin Jeong, Conrad Wallem, and Tomas Totland. 

St. Louis will hit the road once again to face Sporting Kansas City on Wednesday, August 19, at Sporting Park, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. CT.
