ST. LOUIS CITY SC HOME OPENER TO ENERGIZE ST. LOUIS FANS

Free CITY Block Party to heat up pre-match festivities, with live entertainment from British rock band The Struts, appearances by the Budweiser Clydesdales and much more

Fans attending the match are encouraged to be in their seats prior to kickoff to participate in a special full-stadium experience with light-up wristbands

The first-ever matchday at newly-named Energizer Park is finally here! Before St. Louis CITY SC hosts Colorado Rapids in CITY SC’s inaugural match of the 2025 MLS season at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, the club invites fans of all ages to get the matchday party started at the free CITY Block Party beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Lou Fusz Plaza. British rock band The Struts will headline the free concert, with Smidley and local DJ Tatiana Rose also performing.

“As one of the most talked about fan experiences in the league, there’s nothing quite like being a part of CITY SC’s matchdays,” said Diego Gigliani, President & GM, St. Louis CITY SC. “Excitement for season three is through the roof. We are eager to start our 2025 campaign and welcome new and returning fans home to award-winning Energizer Park. Come celebrate our home opener with us at our free CITY Block Party, which has become a beloved matchday tradition that really brings the energy and sets the tone for the entire evening.”

Continuing in their tradition of delivering beer on CITY SC’s home opening day, the Budweiser Clydesdales, with CITY SC Sporting Director Lutz Pfannenstiel on the hitch, will take off from Lou Fusz Plaza to parade through the streets surrounding Energizer Park. The Clydesdales will end back at Lou Fusz Plaza to deliver Budweiser to the guest of honor, CITY SC President & GM Diego Gigliani.

The CITY Block Party will also feature specialty cocktails and food from Steve’s Hot Dogs and Balkan Treat Box for purchase, partner activations, games, giveaways, and much more. The CITY Block Party is open to the public – tickets are not required.

INSIDE ENERGIZER PARK

For fans going to the match, Energizer Park gates will open at 6:00 p.m. Upon entrance to the stadium, fans will receive an LED wristband in partnership with Energizer, which they should wear to be part of a full-stadium experience before kickoff to celebrate both the start of the new season and the first-ever match since renaming the stadium Energizer Park. (After the match, fans are welcome to take the wristbands home or recycle them on the way out.)

Fans also can savor the flavors of St. Louis and enjoy food from Energizer Park’s 100% local in-stadium food program, CITY Flavor, including new food partners Pappy’s Smokehouse, Chicken Scratch, Bolyard’s and Damn Fine Hand Pies.

Fans are strongly encouraged to be in their seats by 7:15 pm for a special lineup of activities, including a performance of the National Anthem by Charles Glenn, the full-stadium lightshow and other surprises.
